Storm is synonymous with high performance, but not everyone is in the market for premium performance. The Mix series is perfect for recreational bowlers just getting their feet wet or the seasoned veteran needing a straighter option for spare shooting. The Mix’s traditional 3-piece core enhanced predictability while the urethane coverstock ensures durability that other materials just can’t offer.
Our history has led up to where we are now. Absolute combines over 20 years of proven and trusted technology.
In most cases, an extra slug, or weighted disk, is needed to create enhanced dynamics, but the evenly weighted masses at both ends of the Sentinel Core upgrades this effect more than a single slug ever could. This ensures the Absolute will change direction and continue through the pins better and more consistently. This is the first single-density asymmetric core in the Storm line since the Lucid. The R&D team has also reduced the amount of weight block mass near the area where the thumb hole is typically placed. The inward angled edges increase the intermediate differential prior to drilling and allows the dynamic integrity to be preserved after drilling because the thumb hole misses the weight block. The extra intermediate differential makes the Absolute respond to friction on the lane more effectively and won’t miss the spot.

Technology is in our DNA! Storm starts from the innermost part, the weight block, and work their way out. In this case, it’s the inventive Supercoil weight block. The intent was to develop a super low RG shape with a greater undrilled intermediate differential. Traditionally, weight blocks with more of the mass placed around the equator drive the RG down and read the midlane better. The cutaway on the Y-axis helps to maintain dynamic integrity after drilling. When it’s time, the coverstock is poured. In just a few minutes as the liquid transitions to a solid, an extreme amount of heat (about 200 °F) needs to be released for this to happen.
The stage “exotherm” in the process is crucial to the chemistry of the coverstock and by controlling the peak temperature, heat rate, and cooldown speed Storm can manipulate the chemical porosity deep within that helps with oil absorption and displacement. This creates caverns of porosity and cliffs so deep which give this state-of-the-art shell the kind of cutting-edge traction that’ll leave you in awe. Enter: EXO Reactive coverstock.
With 80% of leagues and weekend tournaments played on oil patterns between 39 and 44 feet (Doug Dukes, VP of Sales, Kegel), the Storm EquinoX is purpose-built for league bowlers. Designed for these conditions, it delivers the signature backend motion Storm is known for—combining powerful reaction with consistent performance. The EquinoX is the ideal choice for bowlers looking to dominate their league nights and weekend tournaments with confidence and precision.
The Solarion A.I. Core is designed with three distinct cylinders that optimize motion. The largest cylinder lowers the RG for fast revving and a tumbling front-lane read. A top cylinder enhances drilling versatility, while the lightweight base increases torque and continuation. This unique design creates the classic skid-flip reaction Storm is known for, with added control and power.
The Hy-Road 40 celebrates four decades of Storm innovation by continuing the legacy of one of the most trusted names in bowling. At its core lies the legendary Inverted Fe² Technology—Storm’s most successful weight block design—delivering unmatched energy retention and dynamic hitting power. Wrapped in the successful A1S Pearl coverstock—first debuted on the Equinox and known as one of the fastest oil-absorbing materials in our lineup—the Hy-Road 40 maintains a consistent reaction shot after shot, especially in heavier conditions where oil buildup can compromise performance. The Hy-Road 40 is a tribute to where we’ve been—and a bold step toward where you’re headed.
When legends step onto the lanes, they bring more than just skill, they bring confidence. The IDentity combines Jason Belmonte’s expertise with cutting-edge technology to create a ball that doesn’t just perform, it makes a statement. The revolutionary ID™ A.I. Core weight block delivers exceptional power and consistency with its asymmetric design and mild split between Y and Z axes, while the responsive REX™ Pearl coverstock finished with Power Edge Polish creates the backend reaction you are looking for.
History doesn’t remember those who waited. With only a limited number manufactured, this rare edition ensures you’re throwing something truly exclusive on the lanes.
The Tensor Core forms a multi-dimensional array with a uniform type that creates opposing torque forces on an asymmetric map. The product resembles a stronger, more powerful symmetric core model that blends the line between top-drawer asymmetric and the more traditional symmetric approach thanks to a modest touch of asymmetry between the Y and Z axes. This is a unique concept in the Storm line will fit the needs of many. No balance hole? No problem. Pro shop operators can drill the Tensor Core like they used to with intent to put a flare-increasing hole in a specific spot. The slim intermediate differential accomplishes the same feat without any extra effort. R4S has the highest reactivity of any Reactor™ series cover and bridges the gap between mid-range Thunder™ Line and high-end Premier™ Line balls. Being a hybrid formulation, users can expect a wide array of benefits to be found on a multitude of conditions.
Storm Ion Max Pearl Bowling Ball Features:
The Ion Max Pearl takes the oil-fighting strength of the original Ion Max and adds a quicker, controlled response at the breakpoint with its NRG™ Pearl coverstock. Its low RG Element Max™ A.I. Core delivers strong midlane read and powerful downlane motion, while maintaining the dependable, smooth arc bowlers trust. From league play to tournament environments, the Ion Max Pearl offers a versatile reaction that stays in control as conditions change. Find your moment. MAXimize your game.
At the heart of the ball is the Element Max A.I. Core, a low RG asymmetric design built to rev quickly and create a strong, defined midlane motion. Its design extends mass along the X-Axis, adding over 50% more flare potential and creating a more dynamic overall motion. Layout choices play a significant role, with drilling closer to the PSA increasing intermediate differential and giving pro shop operators precise control when dialing in reaction shape.
The Ion Max Pearl features Storm’s trusted NRG™ cover formulation in a polished pearl finish, engineered to provide a clean look through the front of the lane while maintaining midlane traction. Finished with Power Edge, the NRG™ Pearl delivers a faster, more decisive response at the breakpoint while maintaining control through the pins. This balance of cleanliness and traction allows the Ion Max Pearl to perform consistently across a variety of lane conditions and playing styles.
Enter, the Ion Pro. This is the first asymmetric benchmark ball ever designed by Storm Bowling and will be the new standard of reliability. A benchmark ball is designed to provide a balanced performance across different lane conditions. This ball is designed to allow bowlers to adjust their game without switching to a different ball. Quite simply, it’s made for players of every style from any angle. Every bowler should have this in their bag.
The stacked ellipse design of the Element Tour A.I. Core places the smaller ellipses towards the ends of the X-Axis and the widest ellipse at the center of the Y-Axis. Conceptually opposite to cavity designs featured in the Crux™ and Absolute™, the Element Tour A.I. Core dynamics will change more between different layouts with this shape because of it. This center heavy concept places the largest ellipse in the geographic center of the ball. More mass towards the center lowers the RG and, in conjunction with the A.I. Core, makes the Element weight block one of the lowest RG asymmetrical designs Storm has ever had. Normally on asymmetric weight blocks, the thinnest portion creating the asymmetry is very close to the Y-Axis. Stairstep asymmetry is the opposite of that. The widest part is at the Y-Axis which would normally decrease asymmetry, but each subsequent ellipse is offset and skinnier than the previous one which creates asymmetry with each stairstep.
