The PhysiX Blackout combines a familiar legacy with refined, cutting-edge technology. Built for demanding conditions, its NeX Pearl Reactive coverstock is dialed in for high-viscosity environments, delivering a powerful connection between the ball and the lane. This design gives bowlers an impressive blend of control and grit. Part of the esteemed PhysiX lineage, the Blackout stands out as a bold, reliable choice for bowlers who prefer a ball that revs up and showcases dynamic flare potential.
At the core of the PhysiX Blackout is its shining feature: the Atomic A.I. Core, designed with an ultra-low RG to promote strong, consistent spin. This center-heavy mass responds with a dynamic, controlled motion, powering through with remarkable responsiveness.
The NeX Pearl Reactive coverstock on the PhysiX Blackout takes Storm’s technology a step further, integrating Nano additives to enhance lane interaction. With a fine-tuned 2000-grit Abralon finish, this coverstock grips effortlessly in medium to heavy oil, allowing for an assertive yet smooth path through the pins.
Enter, the Ion Pro. This is the first asymmetric benchmark ball ever designed by Storm Bowling and will be the new standard of reliability. A benchmark ball is designed to provide a balanced performance across different lane conditions. This ball is designed to allow bowlers to adjust their game without switching to a different ball. Quite simply, it’s made for players of every style from any angle. Every bowler should have this in their bag.
The stacked ellipse design of the Element Tour A.I. Core places the smaller ellipses towards the ends of the X-Axis and the widest ellipse at the center of the Y-Axis. Conceptually opposite to cavity designs featured in the Crux™ and Absolute™, the Element Tour A.I. Core dynamics will change more between different layouts with this shape because of it. This center heavy concept places the largest ellipse in the geographic center of the ball. More mass towards the center lowers the RG and, in conjunction with the A.I. Core, makes the Element weight block one of the lowest RG asymmetrical designs Storm has ever had. Normally on asymmetric weight blocks, the thinnest portion creating the asymmetry is very close to the Y-Axis. Stairstep asymmetry is the opposite of that. The widest part is at the Y-Axis which would normally decrease asymmetry, but each subsequent ellipse is offset and skinnier than the previous one which creates asymmetry with each stairstep.
Technology is in our DNA! Storm starts from the innermost part, the weight block, and work their way out. In this case, it’s the inventive Supercoil weight block. The intent was to develop a super low RG shape with a greater undrilled intermediate differential. Traditionally, weight blocks with more of the mass placed around the equator drive the RG down and read the midlane better. The cutaway on the Y-axis helps to maintain dynamic integrity after drilling. When it’s time, the coverstock is poured. In just a few minutes as the liquid transitions to a solid, an extreme amount of heat (about 200 °F) needs to be released for this to happen.
The stage “exotherm” in the process is crucial to the chemistry of the coverstock and by controlling the peak temperature, heat rate, and cooldown speed Storm can manipulate the chemical porosity deep within that helps with oil absorption and displacement. This creates caverns of porosity and cliffs so deep which give this state-of-the-art shell the kind of cutting-edge traction that’ll leave you in awe. Enter: EXO Reactive coverstock.
After countless months of research and development, and after multiple tests and discussions with players of all skill levels, the Roto Grip ROCKSTAR provides a new motion and reaction for both the competitive player ranks and the advanced player ranks to shred and rock on those Medium to Heavy Oil Conditions.
Offering new state-of-the-art technology in both the coverstock material and weight block shape design, the ROCKSTAR was developed to provide greater versatility on more oil conditions and lane surfaces than previous HP3 level balls since there have been plenty of advancements in the world of lane maintenance and lane surfaces in recent years.
The new NanoStar™ coverstock material is Roto Grip’s latest nanotechnology remix. This union of nano particles mixed with new chemistry provides similar traction in the midlane to that of our legendary MicroTrax™ material. However, the difference you will easily see is that the NanoStar™ material does not dig into the lane as early as MicroTrax™, it generates more responsiveness to friction down lane in terms of nanotechnology materials. In other words, breaking it down a little more for you… NanoStar is not as early as MicroTrax, and it’s not as clean and responsive as our eTrax™, eTrax PLUS™, or eTrax ULTRA™ materials. Therefore, it fills the gap between MicroTrax™ and eTrax™.
Showcased at the center of it all you will find our newly developed weight block shape that is destined for greatness, known as the ROCKER Core. Its authentic shape encapsulated in A.I. Core technology provides a more centralized rotation plane to better provide more continuation through the pin deck. As always, the Roto Grip team of R&D rockstars aim to develop weight block shapes that perform for bowlers of all skill levels not just the ones you see on TV. Meaning, the ROCKER Core is no different, it was designed for the masses. Let’s just say, the combination of amplified power and amplified motion results in sheer amplified awesomeness.
So, if you are indeed ready to rock, then look no further, ROCKSTAR is here and ready to make you famous!
The Level bowling ball is the groundbreaking debut of the Lab Series, a line designed to redefine performance through limitless innovation. Wrapped around the new Level is a new coverstock material that has physical properties never seen before in the bowling industry. This makes the Level a great choice when consistent, continuous, predictable ball motion is needed.
Wrapped in the revolutionary RPM (Regenerative Polymer Matrix) coverstock, the Level offers oil absorption rates never seen before, delivering consistent ball motion with less response to friction. Unlike traditional coverstocks that lose surface integrity over time, RPM maintains its surface profile for a predictable reaction on every shot. Built for bowlers who demand top-tier performance, the Level delivers unmatched consistency, control, and innovation for the modern game.
At its core is the Equalizer A.I. Core™, a tall, low-density weight block engineered to deliver a higher RG for a smoother, more controlled transition without sacrificing differential or consistency. This precision design ensures unparalleled repeatability and shot-to-shot reliability.
The most crucial part of the design is the overall density of the weight block itself. A lighter density was chosen in order to increase the RG value so the Equalizer™ A.I. Core™ would take longer to respond to friction. Lighter densities raise the RG, but they simultaneously decrease the total differential. Traditionally, a shape of this design would require a higher density slug to increase differential into a zone that would be more manageable for a majority of bowlers. The cuts towards the middle of the shape combined with the increased overall length of the weight block create more differential than would normally be seen with a shape of this size and density.
